Christie Fraser

Christie is a qualified planning consultant with six years’ experience advising clients on a wide range of development management and planning policy issues.

Over the past six years, Christie has been involved in:

  • the preparation of Retail and Leisure Studies for local authority clients; advice to developers and local authorities relating to the sequential and impact tests for various retail and mixed-use development proposals; and
  • advice to private sector clients in relation to Green Belt case law and identification of the ‘very special circumstances’ required for development in the Green Belt/revisions to Green Belt boundaries.

Christie’s work has also focussed on the preparation and submission of various applications for retail, housing and mixed-use developments. She is experienced in working as a part of multi-disciplinary teams and in drafting support material. Her knowledge of local and national planning policy issues, particularly town centre policy, plays an important role in securing planning permission for various types of development.

Outside work, Christie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, exploring the Lake District and supporting Barrow AFC.
