Technology Primary School, Wolverhampton

Q+A Planning was instructed by Tilbury Douglas to secure consent for the demolition of an existing school and its replacement by a new two storey Passivhaus standard building.

The site has been vacant for the past 14 years and the new school seeks to intensify the use of a very constrained site. We managed the professional team dealing with issues including proximity to heritage assets, highways, Biodiversity Net Gain and we coordinated responses to statutory consultees including Sport England and the Canals and Rivers Trust. We also managed a public consultation programme to ensure local residents were aware of the proposal and were able to comment on it prior to the application submission.

Subject to planning approval the school will open for pupils in September 2023.
