Special Educational Needs School, Stoke-on-Trent

Q+A are working with Tilbury Douglas to deliver a new special education needs and disability (SEND) school for children aged 11 to 16 at the site of the former Abbey Hill School and Performing Arts College at Greasley Road, Stoke-on-Trent.

We have undertaken extensive pre-application discussions on the project including organising a public consultation exercise with over 1000 nearby properties. The scheme has raised a range of issues requiring careful consideration, including transport, landscape and acoustics. We managed the inputs of the professional team addressing these issues, whilst ensuring that tight project deadlines are met to ensure the new school can be open in 2023.
